Marvel Studios announced their new plans for Phase Three with Ant-Man sequel, changes in release schedule and more!!

Marvel adds Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp to Phase Three, the sequel features Paul Rudd as Scott Lang alongside Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne – the first Marvel movie with its heroine name in the title.

The sequel announcement comes following the success of this summer’s Ant-Man, which grossed $178.5 million in North America and $231 million internationally for a worldwide total of $409.5 million.

The studio moved up the release date of Black Panther, pushed Captain Marvel from 2018 to 2019 & announced 3 untitled movies.

Here’s the updated Phase Three release schedule:

  • Black Panther: February 16, 2018 (Previously July 6, 2018)
    Ant-Man and the Wasp: July 6, 2018
    Captain Marvel: March 8, 2019 (Previously November 2, 2018)
    Untitled Marvel Studios Film: May 1, 2020
    Untitled Marvel Studios Film: July 10, 2020
    Untitled Marvel Studios Film: November 6, 2020

The other Phase Three movies include, Captain America: Civil War (May 6, 2016), Doctor Strange (November 4, 2016), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (May 5, 2017), Untitled Spider-Man Film (July 28, 2017), Thor: Ragnarok (November 3, 2017), Avengers: Infinity War Part I (May 4, 2018), Avengers: Infinity War Part II (May 3, 2019), and Inhumans (July 12, 2019.)
