Warner Bros. Pictures’ superhero film, Man of Steel might finally get a sequel, according to a report.
Man of Steel 2 is in active development and it is a top priority for Warner Bros., according to The Warp’s source familiar with the project.
The source said, Superman is a “top priority for the studio and getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance.”
The studio has been silent about Man of Steel sequel since they announced in 2014 with an intended release between 2016 and 2020.

At box office, Man of Steel grossed $291 million in North America and $377 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $668 million.
The cast featured Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, and Russell Crowe.
Directed by Zack Snyder and written by David S. Goyer.
