20th Century Fox released a new ‘Diwali Special’ TV Spot of Life Of Pi, an upcoming 3D adventure film based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Yann Martel.

Directed by Ang Lee based on an adapted screenplay by David Magee. Suraj Sharma will play Pi.

According to Wikipedia, Diwali is an official holiday in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mauritius, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Malaysia, Singapore and Fiji.

Diwali popularly known as the “festival of lights,”  is one of the most important festivals of the year for Hindus and is celebrated in Indian families by performing traditional activities together in their homes, get the spot below:

“Based on the best-selling novel by Yann Martel, ‘Life Of Pi’ is a magical adventure story centering on Pi Patel, the precocious son of a zoo keeper. Dwellers in Pondicherry, India, the family decides to move to Canada, hitching a ride on a huge freighter. After a shipwreck, Pi finds himself adrift in the Pacific Ocean on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, all fighting for survival.”

Life Of Pi is scheduled to be released on November 21, 2012.
