Creator and director of Metal Gear series, Hideo Kojima is depressed that his upcoming stealth action open world, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won’t be as good as Rockstar’s GTA V.
Kojima took on twitter to express his thoughts about Rockstar’s upcoming open world action-adventure, Grand Theft Auto V.
"GTA V" new trailer was awesome! This free control is future of the game, way higher than anywhere, makes me depress as matter fact.(cont..)

I don't think our "V" can reach that level. Rockstar's team are the best. W/o question they will pull up the possibility of game.

Ah, how cute, Kojima san… Your modesty is out of this world <3
I feel that people misinterpret this tweet. I feel that what Kojima-San is trying to say by “reaching that level” is the level of open-world roaming rather than story wise or awesomeness wise. If you ask me, MGSV is definitely going to be a hell of a lot better than GTA in replayability and stunning accomplishments. I’m not gonna lie tho, GTAV looks spectacular in open world as well, but they’ve been doing it for quite some time while MGS is only now giving open world a shot.
