Universal Pictures released a new Red Band behind-the-scenes featurette for Kick Ass 2, an upcoming 2013 film based on the comic book of the same name and the Hit-Girl comics by Mark Millar and John S. Romita, Jr.
Sequel to the 2010 film Kick-Ass. The film was written and directed by Jeff Wadlow and co-produced by Matthew Vaughn who directed the first film.
It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, MorrisChestnut, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison and Jim Carrey.
Plot:
“Inspired by Kick-Ass and the events of the first film, other people don masks and begin to fight crime. One of these, Colonel Stars and Stripes forms a team and asks Kick-Ass to join them, while Hit-Girl “retires”, and tries to have a normal life as a schoolgirl.
Meanwhile, following the death of his father, Red Mist is reborn as The Mother Fucker and plans to exact revenge on Kick-Ass for his father’s death.”
Kick Ass 2 is due for release on 16 August 2013 in the United States and on 19 July 2013 in the United Kingdom.
