DC Entertainment & Warner Bros. Pictures’ Justice League – Part One filming is officially set to begin on April 11, 2016.
“The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing,” Zack Snyder told EW.
“It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming.
But I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.’ But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.”
Justice League will primarily shoot at Warner Bros. Leavesden studios in England and various other spots around London and Iceland.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters on March 25 and Justice League filming will kick off just two weeks after the release on April 11, 2016.
The film features Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Ezra Miller as The Flash.
Justice League: Part One will hit theaters on November 10, 2017, followed by Justice League: Part Two on June 14, 2019.
