Today, Ubisoft has confirmed that award-winning composer Jesper Kyd will be returning to score for Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
The final chapter in the Ezio plot arc. He’ll be assisted on composition duties by Lorne Balfe, himself a veteran of the games and movie industries and regular soundtrack partner of Hans Zimmer. Besides Assassin’s Creed, Kyd’s past work has included the Hitman series and a number of TV and film projects including the upcoming Heavy Metal, SyFy’s The Resistance and Cameron Ramero’s Staunton Hill. His past work on the stab-happy game franchise has scored him a number of awards including Best Original Music honors from the Gold Spirit Awards, the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, GameSpot’s Readers Choice awards, GameSpy’s Editor’s Choice awards and the Game Audio Network Guild Awards.
If you’re a fan of Jesper Kyd’s work, the soundtrack is due to be released alongside the game on 15th November when it’s plopped out for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
