American actor, singer and producer, Jeff Bridges has joined the cast of 20th Century Fox’s upcoming British-American action spy comedy, Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Bridges took to twitter to announce that he has joined the cast with a poster hinting his character in the movie:

Taron Egerton returns as Gary “Eggsy” Unwin with Mark Strong as Merlin, Halle Berry as Ginger, a Statesman agent, Julianne Moore as Poppy, the main villain, Pedro Pascal as Jack Daniels, Edward Holcroft as Charles “Charlie” Hesketh, Sophie Cookson as Roxanne “Roxy” Morton, Channing Tatum, & Elton John.

Colin Firth‘s Harry Hart / Galahad, Eggsy’s mentor and a Kingsman agent might return for the sequel.

Matthew Vaughn returns to write and direct the sequel.

Kingsman: The Secret Service follow-up goes international with Egerton back as Eggsy, moving to United States to join forces with their American counterpart “Statesman”, after Kingsman was destroyed.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle‘s principal photography is set to begin in April 2016, with a June 16, 2017 release.
