Following a teaser last week and after its debut in theaters with The Peanuts Movie, Blue Sky Studios released Ice Age short film, Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe online.
Directed by Mike Thurmeier, starring Chris Wedge.

“He basically rearranges the solar system to become the one we know of today, Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe producer, Lori Forte told USA Today.
The thing we love most about Scrat is his perseverance and always getting knocked down and always getting back up, all with the single focus of getting or burying his nut.
He’s very Chaplin-esque in a way, that dignity (where) there’s always another chance and never gives up no matter what happens to him.
But (Scrat’s) just so delightful because he’s also a little bit of a departure. Our ‘Ice Age’ characters are rooted a little more realistically, and we can do anything with Scrat.”
“Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World.
To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, traveling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colorful new characters.”
Ice Age: Collision Course, the fifth installment in the Ice Age film series and a sequel to 2012’s Ice Age: Continental Drift will include Denis Leary, Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Keke Palmer, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Wedge, Simon Pegg, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Adam DeVine, Nick Offerman, Max Greenfield, Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Rauch, Carlos Ponce, Michael Strahan, Jessie J and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Ice Age: Collision Course is scheduled for release on July 22, 2016, by 20th Century Fox.
