Brainstorm Media debuted the trailer for their upcoming American biographical drama film, I Am Michael.
Starring James Franco as Michael Glatze, a gay activist and magazine publisher who renounces homosexuality; Zachary Quinto as Bennett, an architect and former boyfriend of Michael; Emma Roberts as Rebekah Fuller, a young Christian woman who Michael falls in love with after his “conversion”.

The cast also includes Avan Jogia, Charlie Carver, Daryl Hannah, Devon Graye, Leven Rambin, Jenna Leigh Green and Lesley Ann Warren.
Synopsis:
“The controversial true story depicts a gay-rights advocate (James Franco) who shocks his boyfriend (Zachary Quinto), friends and family when he publicly renounces his homosexuality and marries a woman (Emma Roberts).”

The film was released at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, and also screened in the Panorama section of the 65th Berlin International Film Festival.
It received its California premiere during the 17th FilmOut San Diego LGBT Film Festival. and it was the opening night film of the Frameline Film Festival on June 18, 2015 at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.
I Am Michael is scheduled to be released in limited theaters and through video on demand on January 27, 2017.
