English actor known for his role as Thorin Oakenshield in the feature film trilogy adaptation of The Hobbit talks about the upcoming epic fantasy adventure film, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in a recent interview.

Speaking with ontheredcarpet.com at WonderCon Anaheim 2014 convention in Anaheim, California, Richard Armitage says, “There’s a couple of big surprises. The one thing I’m really looking forward to is seeing the Battle of the Five Armies.”

I think it will probably be quite a cinematic event. It’s going to be quite a nostalgic event I think.

It’s going to be 15 years of seeing Middle Earth on the big screen, the culmination of Peter Jackson’s life’s work,” he concluded.
