Techland’s upcoming first-person co-op slasher, Hellraid gets a developer diary showing off ‘Sword Fighting’.
“The video contains an interview with the game’s producer, shows a medieval sword fighting training carried out by members of the ARMA-PL association and presents glimpses of gameplay.”
“We spend a lot of time improving our combat system because – as we keep repeating – we believe that fighting will be the essence of Hellraid.
Our programmers and animators are currently working on new types of melee attacks based on our experience gained from a medieval sword fighting training that we took recently,” notes Techland.
Hellraid offers two games in one: a single-player, story-driven campaign of hack & slash action; and unique, co-operative multiplayer that pits four players against the denizens of hell – and each other – in a battle for points, rewards and fame.
Hellraid is in development for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 to be released in 2014.
