Microsoft released a full trailer for Forward Unto Dawn at Comic Con, for its five part live-action Halo 4 series Forward Unto Dawn.

The series will be out this fall and it is Microsoft’s “largest investment” in live-action ever. The director and cast won’t be revealed until Comic-Con this July, the series will span five weekly installments lasting around 15 minutes each.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will tell an original story about how Master Chief inspired a young UNSC cadet who eventually becomes a leader on the UNSC Infinity spacecraft. According to Variety, the introduction of the new character will tie in with the plot of Halo 4.

Microsoft announced a $99 Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Special Edition, you’ll get a special 90-minute version of the live action series, as well as some expanded content and a making-of featurette.

Microsoft spent up-to $10 million producing the live-action series. It’s a prequel which depicts the first invasion of the Covenant.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will be released via Halo Waypoint and Machinima in October leading up to the launch of Halo 4 on November 6.
