Grand Theft Auto V (commonly shortened to GTA V) is an upcoming open world action-adventure video game being developed by games developer Rockstar North in the United Kingdom and published by Rockstar Games.
GTA V is to be set in fictional Los Santos in the state of San Andreas and its surrounding areas, based on modern-day Los Angeles and Southern California. A rendition of Los Santos was previously featured as one of three cities in 2004’s Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, from the series’s third era.
Alex O’Dwyer, a character animator at Rockstar Games, has an October 2012 release date listed for ‘GTA V’ on his LinkedIn page and his CV.
The image above, points at October 2012 launch, it does reinforce the notion that a Halloween launch has been planned internally for some time.
This isn’t a confirmation of Grand Theft Auto V releasing in October 2012, but it is a reasonable time frame for what will likely be one the biggest releases of the year, whatever year that might be.
Grand Theft Auto V could be released as early as October 2012, or as late as May 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U.
