Skydance Media and Warner Bros. Pictures debuted the full-length Geostorm trailer.
In the trailer, Gerard Butler as Jacob “Jake” Lawson, a satellite designer who tries to save the world from a storm of epic proportions caused by malfunctioning climate-controlling satellites.

Synopsis:
“When catastrophic climate change endangers Earth’s very survival, world governments unite to create a global network of satellites armed with technologies designed to stave off natural disasters.
After successfully protecting the planet for years, something goes wrong. Two estranged brothers must repair the program’s malfunction before a worldwide Geostorm engulfs the planet.”
The environmental disaster action film co-written, produced, and directed by Dean Devlin as his feature debut.
Written by Michelle Mulroney and Dean Devlin.
Skydance Productions’ David Ellison and Dana Goldberg and Devlin’s partners at Electric Entertainment Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan are producing the film.
Paul Schwake serves as an executive producer.
Geostorm is set to be released on October 20, 2017.
