Naughty Dog is already working on a sequel for their commercially successful action-adventure survival horror, The Last of Us, according to former lead character artist.

When Michael Knowland was working for Naughty Dog as the lead character artist, he was “working on main character Nathan Drake to upgrade the face sculpt, hair (geometry/texturing/shading), facial hair, rigging topology, skin textures and arm/hand details” for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End & prototyping head sculpts for The Last of Us 2.

Fellow lead character artist, Frank Tzeng’s linkedin profile reads “Leading character team and working on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End‘s characters including Drake.

Helping develop a unannounced AAA game title.”

Well, that doesn’t come as a surprise, since we all know that the studio is working on a second secret project.

Back in July, community strategist Arne Meyer said that they were “just starting to explore ideas” for The Last of Us sequel. Looks like they were doing more than just exploring ideas for the sequel.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out in 2015 for PlayStation 4.
