Electronic Arts’ newest edition of FIFA video game series, FIFA 14 dethroned Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V to take the top spot on UK All Formats charts.
“FIFA 14 launch week sales are down 24% compared to 2013’s record-breaker FIFA 13, probably due to the money spent on last week’s GTA V launch and may be delaying this purchase until PS4/Xbox One versions are available.”
GTA V sales are down by 83%. Second week sales are “equivalent to being the 18th biggest week if ranked against week 1 sales of any other games ever released”, according to Chart-Track.
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition takes No.3, Konami’s PES 2014 drops to No.4 and The Last of Us at No.5, this weeks biggest entry is EA’s Medal of Honor: Warfighter re-entering the chart at no.29, thanks to price promotion.
