English actress, Emilia Clarke has joined Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures’ upcoming standalone untitled Han Solo Star Wars Spinoff movie.
Emilia “Isabelle Euphemia Rose” Clarke is heading to a galaxy far, far away to join Alden Ehrenreich (cast as young Han Solo) and Donald Glover (cast as Lando Calrissian).
Clarke is best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series, Game of Thrones.
She made her Broadway debut in a production of Breakfast at Tiffany’s as Holly Golightly in March 2013.
In 2015, she starred as Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys and in 2016 she starred in the romance film Me Before You.
This new film depicts Lando in his formative years as a scoundrel on the rise in the galaxy’s underworld — years before the events involving Han, Leia, and Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back and his rise to Rebel hero in Return of the Jedi.
The screenplay is written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan.
Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Produced by Kathleen Kennedy, executive produced by Lawrence Kasdan and Jason McGatlin with Will Allegra co-producing.
Untitled Han Solo film is scheduled to release on May 25, 2018.
