Entertainment Software Association’s 22nd Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2016) attracted 50,300 visitors, down from last year’s 52,000.

E3 2016 Attendance Slightly Down From Last Year, E3 2017 Dated 1

E3 2015 was the first record-breaking three-day event in a decade to surpass 50,000 attendees.

This isn’t surprising, since more than one publisher decided not to be present at the show this year. Activision & Disney didn’t make it to the event and Electronic Arts hosted their own “EA Play” event in LA and London.

This was also the year of E3 Live, which was attended by 20,000 people.

E3 2017 will be kick off from June 13 to June 15, 2017 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
