Marvel Studios & Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man reboot might have found its writer & directer.
According to Latino Review, American film and television screenwriter, director, and producer, Drew Goddard will write and direct the upcoming Spider-Man reboot.
Drew Goddard made his directorial debut with The Cabin in the Woods (2012), he is popularly known for developing American web television series, Daredevil for Netflix, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.
Before his directorial debut, his other writing credits include World War Z, Cloverfield and Ridley Scott’s upcoming American science-fiction film, The Martian.
According to previous reports, Spidey will make his debut in Marvel’s upcoming American superhero film, Captain America: Civil War, which is due for May 6, 2016 release.
After the new deal between Marvel and Sony, Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will produce the new Spider-Man film. A official announcement is yet to be made.
Captain America: Civil War will pick up after the events of the “Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity.
This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.”
