The fourteenth film of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Doctor Strange reigns supreme this weekend with an estimated $84.9 million from 3,882 theaters.

Doctor Strange‘s $84.9 million opening weekend debut is impressive in MCU and it tops the debut openings of Captain America: The First Avenger ($65.1 million), Thor ($65.7 million), and Ant-Man ($57.2 million).

This is the fourteenth consecutive No.1 debut for MCU (out of 14 films), tenth largest opening falling behind Thor: The Dark World‘s $85.7 million.

As of November 6, 2016, Doctor Strange has grossed $84.9 million in North America and $240.4 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $325.4 million.

The film became the biggest IMAX opening in November domestically $12.2 million from 380 IMAX screens, internationally $24 million, and globally $24.2 million from 1,001 IMAX screens in 66 markets, overtaking Interstellar‘s record for $20.5 million from 574 IMAX theaters and best opening for an November IMAX release.

With the worldwide total of $325.4 million by Doctor Strange, Walt Disney Studios has surpassed the $6 billion mark at the global box office for the first time ever, surpassing its previous box office record of of $5.843 billion in 2015.

This weekend’s second spot is held by 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls, which earned an estimated $45.6 million from 4,060 theaters.

Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop, and Gwen Stefani providing the voices for the film.

As of November 6, 2016, Trolls has grossed $45.6 million in North America and $104 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $149.6 million, against a budget of $125 million.

Finishing in third spot is Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment’s Hacksaw Ridge with an estimated $14.8 million at 2,886 theaters.

It stars Andrew Garfield, Vince Vaughn, Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey, Hugo Weaving, Ryan Corr, Teresa Palmer, Richard Pyros and Rachel Griffiths.

As of November 6, 2016, Hacksaw Ridge grossed $14.8 million surpassing the projected gross of around $12 million.
