Deep Silver’s debuted the gameplay trailer for their upcoming action role-playing survival horror game, Dead Island 2 ahead of its first public demo at Gamescom.
The videos shows “Pre-Alpha in-game footage and gives a first impression on how beautiful sunshine and bloody melee violence meet once again – this time in the sunny realms of California.”
“After the first outbreak on Banoi in Dead Island, the world has moved on. Zombies are known and everyone feels safe and prepared.
Companies are selling vaccines and the latest zombie survival kits and people believe that the disaster that occurred on a small island in the middle of nowhere could never happen to them. But they were so WRONG!
Suddenly, a string of brutal outbreaks occur in California and the government puts a wall around the infected area – leaving California as a ‘Dead Island.’
Dead? Not entirely, because let’s face it, a zombie apocalypse has its upsides as well: No boring job, no traffic jams, and no bills to pay.”
Fans at Gamescom will get first hands-on showcase of Dead Island 2 at the Deep Silver booth in Hall 9.1, B11/C10.
Dead Island 2, powered by Unreal Engine 4 is in development at Yager for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, due out spring 2015.
