Last month Tim Miller departed 20th Century Fox‘s Deadpool 2 and now Miller has been replaced by David Leitch, according to THR.
David Leitch will currently just helm Deadpool 2 and Fox is already working on Deadpool 3 and the hunt for director is underway.
He was one of the four directors, Rupert Sanders, Magnus Martens and Drew Goddar, who topped the list to direct the sequel.
But Leitch met Ryan Reynolds in New York and got the offer soon after.
However, the hired directer will only work on Deadpool 2 instead of being handed over the entire franchise.
David Leitch is knowing for directing John Wick with Chad Stahelski. His recent directorial project is The Coldest City starring Charlize Theron, James McAvoy and John Goodman – which lands in theaters in 2017.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned Deadpool, will return for the sequel.
It will be produced by Reynolds, Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner.
There’s currently no word yet on when the filming will being for Deadpool 2.
Deadpool 2 is still without a release date.
