Bandai Namco’s action role-playing open world game, Dark Souls II is heading to PlayStation 4 & Xbox One with improved graphics and additional content.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is a compilation of 2014’s Dark Souls II along with three DLC’s: Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King and Crown of the Ivory King along with an array of all-new content.

The game will take advantage of current-gen consoles & PC’s power with enhanced graphics (DirectX11 for PC) in addition to brand new game content including an expanded story featuring additional in-game events and NPC character along with new deadlier enemies and gameplay improvements.

“Dark Souls II launched in March 2014 to critical acclaim garnering a MetaCritic.com rating of 91%,” said Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Bandai Namco Games America Inc.

“With Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin Edition, FromSoftware is inviting players back to the kingdom of Drangleic to experience its improved gameplay mechanics, gorgeous next-gen graphics, and uncover new unknown dangers and lore.”

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will also be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and DirectX9 PCs. It will “include all three DLC missions (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King and Crown of the Ivory King) as well as a large-scale update (ver.1.10) which will add new features including an additional NPC to seek out along the treacherous quest through Drangleic as well as expanded story, in-game events, improved balance, and online matchmaking functionality.”

Players who own Dark Souls II on PS3, Xbox 360 & PC will receive the ver.1.10 update free of charge.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be available on April 7, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
