German actor, Daniel Bruhl has joined Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War in an unspecified role, according to Marvel.
Daniel Brühl is popularly known for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds (2009), Paul Greengrass’ The Bourne Ultimatum (2012), Bill Condon’s The Fifth Estate (2013), Ron Howard’s Rush (2013) and Anton Corbijn’s A Most Wanted Man (2014).
Rush earned Bruhl multiple award nominations including the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, Critic’s Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor, Screen Actors Guild Award and the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
Bruhl joins Chris Evans (Steve Rogers / Captain America), Robert Downey, Jr. (Tony Stark / Iron Man) & Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther / T’Challa) in Captain America: Civil War, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
“With Daniel’s ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes,” said Producer Kevin Feige.
Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2016.
