Crytek, developer of shooters such as Far Cry and Crysis have shown off what CryEngine 3 is capable of, and provided us a glimpse at the visual whizzes.
The video showcases the CryEngine’s capabilities withcharacter shading, tessellation, character tessellation, ocean tessellation, advanced particle shading, real time reflections and enhanced lighting effects, alembic point cache support, Catmull-Clark compliant SubD surfaces and real time approximated area lights.
