Bradley Cooper talks about his role as Rocket Raccoon in Marvel’s upcoming American science fiction superhero film, Guardians of the Galaxy in a recent interview.
“Well, I like James [Gunn] a lot, and it really was about him and then talking to him about the guy. I wasn’t familiar with the comic at all and then I really loved it, and I love that character. He’s incredible, that character,” said Cooper during an interview with Collider.
He adds, “You know, one thing we debated was he’s seen as a cockney accent sometimes. So we talked about whether we’d do that or do this sort of other guy from the city a little bit.”
The final voice for Rocket Raccoon is yet to be settled, Copper says “we’re in the middle of it”.
He then praises his co-stars, “Chris Pratt is unbelievable and Zoe [Saldana] is great, she’s always great. Chris Pratt just blew me away. I thought he’s just like the perfect guy.”
The film features an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Vin Diesel, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Ophelia Lovibond, Gregg Henry, Glenn Close and Bradley Cooper.
Guardians of the Galaxy is scheduled to be released on August 1, 2014 in 3D.
