Following Kevin Feige and Marvel’s commitment to make a Black Widow movie, Scarlett provides us an update on the standalone movie.
In an interview with Total Film, Scarlett Johansson says that the standalone Black Widow movie is coming, if she can workout a schedule with Marvel.
“I’ve talked to Kevin Feige about it. We’re creatively really compatible.
I think we both agree that the character is right for a standalone, it’s just a case of timing at this point for both Marvel and myself.”

She goes on to talk about how Marvel Cinematic Universe is mapped out for years and has every project scheduled to go into production back to back and her being busy with her own projects, “Marvel has a really huge roster. They’re looking four years ahead.
I also have a lot of things that I want to do. If I did it, I would dedicate myself completely to making it amazing.
It would have to be the best version that movie could possibly be. Otherwise, I would never do it.”
But then she has some doubts about the movie, Johansson states: “[I] don’t know if I have the capacity for it. I think the fans were adamant about it, it could be done. It should be done, probably.”
It’d have to be done the right way, though. It’d really have to be its own standalone and its own style and its own story.
But there’s a lot of great stuff that you could do with it. It could just be awesome,” Johansson concluded.
Do you think the Black Widow movie will ever happen? and if it does will it be Scarlett Johansson or someone new? let us know in the comments!
Scarlett Johansson portrayed as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow in five Cinematic Universe franchise films: Iron Man 2 (2010), Marvel’s The Avengers (2012), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Captain America: Civil War (2016).
We will see Johansson next in Ghost in the Shell and she will return for Avengers: Infinity War, which hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
It should be done soon with Scarlett.. she’s ageing and she’s totally the reason the idea is selling. Not doing it has been great for other non-Marvel films because, let’s face it, other companies are not stupid.
