According to a listing that appeared (and then pulled) on French retailer Fnac‘s website, claims that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will launch this November.

The information first appeared on the Spanish end of the FNAC.com’s portal before it was pulled down, but Gamepur luckily manage to take a shot of it.

Rumor - Black Ops 2 Coming In November 1

The image above points towards a possible November 12, 2012 release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Let’s take a look back at the release dates of previous Call of Duty installments:

  • Modern Warfare 3 – November 8, 2011
  • Black Ops – November 9, 2010
  • Modern Warfare 2 – November 10, 2009
  • World at War – November 11, 2008
  • Modern Warfare – November 5, 2007
  • Call of Duty 3 – November 7, 2006
  • Call of Duty 2 – November 17, 2005
  • Call of Duty – October 29, 2003

Do you notice a pattern? So, November release window is obvious.

Previously, A Black Ops 2 listing popped up on Amazon France last month before also being pulled. We still haven’t received an official announcement from Activision about the what the next Call of Duty will be called, we know only that it will definitely exist sometime in 2012.

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said in February that this year’s Call of Duty release will offer “meaningful innovations”.

It would be the first time that the Treyarch team, previously responsible for World at War andBlack Ops, does a direct sequel to its previous game.

What do think Treyarch’s upcoming Call of Duty game will be?
