In the latest developer commentary video for Bioshock Infinite, the game’s creative director Ken Levine explains some of Infinite’s motifs along with a new gameplay mechanic.
Many gamers can’t wait to get their hands on the next installment of the Bioshock series, Bioshock Infinite. The original Bioshock was heavily influenced by the history of scientific advancement; the plasmids were inspired by the work of Mendel, Watson, and Crick in the field of genetics. For Bioshock Infinite, Irrational Games has drawn inspiration from the work of physicists, such as Einstein and Heisenberg.
Elizabeth isn’t just a pretty face in Infinite. As Levine explains, she’s able to see and manipulate tears in the universe, reaching into them to bring people, places, and things into Columbia’s reality. Find out how this will be used as a critical gameplay mechanic below:

BioShock: Infinite is being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows PCs, and the Nintendo Wii U. The game is set to ship sometime in 2012.
