DICE community manager Daniel Matros confirmed that the next update for Battlefield 3 is currently in the certification stage on Twitter.
This means the new patch is complete and ready to deploy after console manufacturers certify it. Certification should take about a week and should be out soon for all PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The patch is presumably the update that DICE originally said would be released in February.
Previous week, DICE finally announced three new expansion packs for Battlefield 3 and released a gameplay trailer for the first DLC “Close Quarters” yesterday.
