According to recently released NPD data, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 was the best-selling game in US and UK last year.
Activision’s shooter charted ahead of Just Dance 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in 2011, with Battlefield 3 and Madden NFL 12 rounding off the top five. The Activision shooter once again reigned supreme in 2011, with Modern Warfare 3 selling the most, and the 2010 release, Call of Duty Black Ops claiming the sixth spot.
NPD also released December’s sales chart, which featured seven of the year’s best-sellers, including an unchanged top three.
