Sony Pictures Entertainment announced a new title and release date for their long-in-development sequel, Bad Boys 3.

Joe Carnahan will write and direct the film with David Guggenheim working on screenplay. Jerry Bruckheimer is expected to return as a producer.
The project was announced with a February 2017 and it was subsequently moved to June 2, where it was going head to head with Warner Bros. Pictures’ Wonder Woman, but now the date has been pushed to 2018 to avoid box office competition with Wonder Woman.
