American-English actor, Andrew Garfield term as Peter Parker / Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise was ended abruptly after Sony & Marvel Studios teamed up to create a new Spider-Man franchise leading up to the cancelation The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sequels.
If you were curious to hear Andrew Garfield’s thoughts about Tom Holland taking over the Spider-Man franchise, the recent interview just does that.
ET caught up with Garfield to ask him how he feels about it, he replies: “It feels lovely, especially because Tom Holland is a really, really great actor.
He was in this movie The Impossible and he was just this incredibly powerful, sensitive, just wonderful young actor.”
Garfield adds, “And [he’s] a dancer, so his body’s the right [form]. I’m just really excited to just be a fan again as opposed to bearing the weight of it.”
Holland will make his first appearance in Marvel Studios’ upcoming American superhero film, Captain America: Civil War alongside Chris Evans & Robert Downey Jr., which hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
The untitled Spider-Man reboot filming will begin sometime next year & opens in theaters on July 28, 2017.
