The American video-game developer and publisher, Sierra Entertainment Inc. will resurrect at Gamescom in Cologne next week.
The company launched a new website sierra.com, with a video teaser showing off their redesigned logo, check it out after the break:
In 2008, Sierra parent company Vivendi Universal Games (Vivendi Games) merged with Activision to form the Activision Blizzard. Vivendi Games ceased to exist and ownership of Sierra was transferred over to Activision.
Sierra Entertainment is popularly known for its adventure games, King’s Quest, Gabriel Knight, Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest, Police Quest, & Quest for Glory and published a number of Valve’s early games as well as Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.
According to credible reports, The Odd Gentlemen, an independent video game studio based in Los Angeles is currently working on a new King’s Quest game. (Thanks to Geoff Keighley of SpikeTV).
Gamescom opens its doors next Wednesday, August 13.
