Activision’s ‘Call of Duty‘ video game franchise is one of the biggest money makers every year, but CEO Bobby Kotick has no plans to turn the game series into a movie.

Speaking with New York Times, Kotick says that many movie studios offered them to make a Call of Duty film, but they turned down every single one.

Kotick states “Call of Duty may look like a movie, but we have very little interest in turning it into one — and has turned down several studios’ requests. He also says, movies based on video games rarely please devoted fans and could taint the brand.”

Kotick wants to keep the brand healthy rather than risk cheapening it with a poorly made film.

Do you agree? Do you think Activision should make a movie?
