She will return to the series in ACIV: Black Flag as PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4’s exclusive content. AC Liberation’s writer Jill Murray will return to pen Aveline’s tale.
Lead writer Darby McDevitt explained, “It’s a ways forward so Aveline is a bit older, it’s not directly related to the end of her story. If Assassin’s Creed IV is like a novel, Aveline’s missions are like a short story.”
Aveline’s narrative tale is broken up into three missions, which provides an hour of exclusive content.
McDevitt further adds, “The present-day is set in Abstergo Entertainment – which is this fun, hip company to work for… at first. You are able to access the Aveline stuff because your coworkers are working on retrieving different genetic memories from all kinds of different people.”
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will launch on October 29th in the US, and November 1st everywhere else for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. PC version will release after the console versions and a launch title for PS4 and Xbox One.
