Ubisoft officially announced Assassin’s Creed III, promising more details on the sequel this coming Monday at 5pm GMT.
In a press-released statement, Ubi said: “We confirm that Ubisoft will announce all the details of Assassin’s Creed III on Monday March 5th at 5pm.”
Ubisoft has also released packshot images for the sequel, confirming leaks from earlier today indicating the game’s set during the American Revolution.
Game Informer’s April Cover features Assassin’s Creed III and the “daring new hero” wielding an axe and pistol.
The Mag states: “Ever since the conclusion of Assassin’s Creed II, a senior team of Ubisoft developers has been secretly toiling away on what comes next. That team aimed high, with plans to examine and rethink every element of the franchise from the ground up, build something new, and take a full three year development cycle to do it.
“The game that emerged is Assassin’s Creed III. Set in the latter half of the 18th century, we’ll see the war between the Templars and the Assassins escalate as it crosses over to the New World of America, and witness firsthand the events of the American Revolution.
“Caught in the conflict is a daring new hero in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. We have the full story of this new hero and the striking game in which he stars, along with exclusive screens and art from the project, all packed into a massive 13-page cover story.”
Earlier Ubisoft stated that, the series’ switch to the 18th century conflict will mark its “Biggest To Date”.
Assassin’s Creed III will release release on October 30 for PC, PS3 and Xbox360. Click here for more ACIII covers

the new protagonist seems bad-ass like the previous ones, but i just noticed, that there is no hidden blade or some sort? or another weapon perhaps? still the assassin robe is damn cool. I will look forward to this.
there is a hidden blade if you look closely on the forearm
I'm a little skeptical about where this is going… But I'll buy the game anyway because I love Assassin's Creed. I prefer the first game over others but I hope I'll enjoy AC III more than Revelations.
I just hope guys will do their work well, as they did with the first two games. Brotherhood and Revelations were a small disappointment for me.
I bet they'll do alot better work for AC III. Afterall, Brotherhood & Revelations were mainly just spin-offs, so as to give themselves breathing room for when they put out this one.
I feel as if Assassins Creed wouldn't be very good if it were in the gun age you know like having SMG's or Sniper Rifle's etc. Revelations kind of let me down as none of the other Brotherhood members like Volpe, Machievelli etc were in it, there weren't enough side missions either.
There is a hidden blade, just no bracer
I just discovered ! Everyone say that there's a gun, but I see two guns! Correct me if I'm wrong.
