Ubisoft’s upcoming historical action-adventure open world, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will indeed feature microtransactions, which lets players “save time and accelerate progress.”

Just like its predecessors, the game will include the model that is “quite similar” to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (2013), senior producer Francois Pelland told IGN.

“Microtransactions will save time and accelerate progress, which allowing players who do not have time to fully explore our huge game world to still be able to eventually acquire the game’s most powerful gear as well as other items.

Rest assured, all of AC Syndicate’s content is available without paying anything additional and the game has been balanced such that microtransactions are 100% optional,” said Pelland.

Black Flag allowed players to purchase a range of time saver packs that revealed the locations of collectibles, skip activities for ship upgrades and to gain additional resources.

However, Assassin’s Creed: Unity (2014) introduced “Helix Credits”, a new in-game currency that was used to purchase weapons, used boots, upgrading player stats for limited time.

Ubisoft is yet to reveal if Helix credits will return in Syndicate.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will launch on October 23 for PS4, Xbox One & November 19, 2015 for PC.
