In a recent research survey pertaining to the Assassin’s Creed Franchise, one of the questions listed was all about when and where gamers would like to see the next installment of the franchise be set.
One of the questions in particular focuses on possible future storylines and locations for the next installment of the franchise be set, with a survey-taker being asked which sounds the most appealing to them. As can be seen in the image below, there are quite a few options shown, and some are even locations that have been hinted at in previous Assassin’s Creed entries.
The survey mentions, among other historical periods, Medieval China, Victorian England, The American Revolution and Feudal Japan.
The next Assassin’s Creed game is rumoured to be set in Egypt at the time of the Pharaohs, and has been forever, so this will only add fuel to the pyramid-shaped fire.
Ubisoft has already said that a new Assassin’s Creed game, rounding off Desmond’s story, will release next year; it’s expected Assassin’s Creed 3 will follow that. The third full game should come after it, most likely in 2013.
Take a look at Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Review
Assassin’s Creed Revelations is out for PS3 and Xbox 360. ACR will be out on 2nd December 2011 for PC.

i don't think that japan would work because they already had assassins there called ninjas. so that would probably have some story problems with it. i'm not saying it wouldn't make a good game i'm just saying i don't think it's the best setting for an assassins creed game
Ancient Rome or Egypt
They're all so good. It'd have to be between Russia and China.
I thing italy, syria or constantinople are still good, but i would also like to see it in egypt.
