Ubisoft released the launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Freedom Cry, post launch downloadable content featuring Edward Kenway’s first mate Adewale.
“Born a slave, Adewale was sold to a plantation owner at a young age. When pirates raided the plantation, Adewale escaped and found freedom as a pirate aboard the Jackdaw, where he became Edward Kenway’s confidant and second-in-command.
Fifteen years later Now, Adewale has become a trained assassin and finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapon nor crew, starting a new adventure of his own.”
An Imposing Assassin

Command the Experto Crede, a fearsome brig that will strike terror in the hearts of all slave trader ship crews. Chase and plunder enemy vessels to upgrade the Experto Crede and take down the slavers in the Caribbean.
“The PC version of the Freedom Cry DLC will release in the coming days. We are taking the extra time to apply a final layer of polish to ensure that it meets the expectations of our fans,” according to the post on Ubisoft forums.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Season Pass is available now for purchase, it includes Freedom Cry, as well as the exclusive Kraken Ship Pack, additional single-player missions, weapons, skins and collectibles, including the Blackbeard’s Wrath add-on content as well as upcoming new characters for an expansive multiplayer experience.
Freedom Cry is a nine mission self-contained story featuring Edward Kenway’s first mate Adewale. It will be available on December 18th on PSN for the PS3 and PS4, December 17th on Xbox Live for Xbox One, Xbox 360.
