Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that they will be releasing another Assassin’s Creed title in 2012. Guillemot made the announcement during the company’s earnings call, but refused to go into any specifics concerning the details about the just announced title.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise has become one of the most popular franchises this generation amongst gamers on all platforms. Ever since Assassin’s Creed 2, an Assassin’s Creed title has been released every year. The franchise sequel was followed by Brotherhood and then Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
With Ubisoft have already announced that this year’s Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will close the book on the Story of Ezio.
Who will be carrying the lead role for the franchise this time next year, is certainly something to look forward to.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise has now sold 31 million copies since its debut in November 2007, according to Ubisoft.
