A Tribe Called Quest was formed in 1985 composed of MC and producer Q-Tip, DJ and producer Muhammad Ali Shaheed and MC Phife Dawg. A fourth member, rapper Jarobi White left the group after their first album in 1991.
The album will feature guest appearances from Busta Rhymes, Consequence, André 3000, Jack White, Kanye West, Elton John, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson Paak and Talib Kweli; all the recording sections took place at Q-Tip’s home studio in New Jersey.
The album features posthumous contributions from band member Phife Dawg, who died several months prior to the album’s release.
We Got It from Here…Thank You 4 Your Service is the sixth and final studio album by American hip hop group, A Tribe Called Quest.
It was released on November 11, 2016 by Epic Records.
