Warner Bros. Pictures revealed a IMAX poster for their upcoming American action adventure film, The Legend of Tarzan.
The poster features Alexander Skarsgård surrounded by his friends.
The film also stars Margot Robbie, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Hounsou and John Hurt.
Based on the fictional character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Directed by David Yates, co-produced by Jerry Weintraub, and written by Stuart Beattie, Craig Brewer, John Collee, and Adam Cozad.
Synopsis:
“It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side.
Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz).
But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.”
The Legend of Tarzan is scheduled for release on July 1, 2016 in 3D and IMAX 3D.
