Capcom announced a new IP ‘Remember Me’ (Codenamed ‘Adrift’) at Gamescom.
Developed by French studio ‘Dontnod Entertainment’, set up by Oskar Guilbert, former head of developer relations at Criterion Games, sci-fi writer Alain Damasio and art director Aleksi Briclot, who has previously worked with Wizards of the Coast.
Remember Me a futuristic action title set in Neo-Paris 2048. Players will take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter.

“Take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. Arrested, and with her memory wiped clean Nilin must now set out on a mission to rediscover her identity.”
The game was first shown at GamesCom last year as ‘Adrift’ with the following description: “Augmented reality and manipulation memorial took control of people’s lives. You can now buy, sell or exchange its own memories. The last barriers of intimacy fell in line with the rise of social networks and geolocation at the beginning of XXI century.
“The control society, accepted by the citizens themselves, in exchange for a few technological benefits, is now a reality that nobody takes the trouble to challenge. This economy is not memory without giving immense power and uncontrollable a handful of people…”
Remember Me is scheduled for release in May 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
