Naughty Dog’s action-adventure third-person shooter game series, Uncharted could be the next in line to receive Playstation 4 remastered treatment, according to Sony’s president of worldwide studios, Shuhei Yoshida.
“Almost 50 per cent of people who have purchased a PS4 didn’t own a PS3, and that’s lots of people that missed exclusive PS3 titles like The Last of Us, so it’s a great way to welcome those people back to PlayStation, saying this is what you missed,” Yoshida told Eurogamer.
The Last of Us Remastered runs on 1080p at 60 fps, featuring higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, and upgraded textures, along with even more improvements.
He was quizzed if the firm is considering other Playstation franchise remaster for Playstation 4 owners in 1080p/60 FPS? Yoshida replied:
“There are requests from some consumers for games that were released later in the generation, like Uncharted, which people might have missed.
That would be a good candidate. We don’t want to flood the market with remade games either.”
The Last of Us Remastered launches on July 29 in North America and July 30, 2014 in Europe.
