Paramount Pictures has announced the release schedule for their upcoming science fiction action films, Transformers 5, 6, & 7.
The untitled fifth Transformers film takes place after the events of Age of the Extinction. The filming will begin in May 2016, for a June 23, 2017 release.
Transformers 5 will be directed by Michael Bay from Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Ken Nolan’s script with Mark Wahlberg set to return.
The sixth installment in Transformers film series will be a spin-off starring Bumblebee, with a June 8, 2018 release.
The seventh installment, Transformers 6 will release on June 28, 2019.
In October 2015, Paramount formed Transformers writers room to plan out multi-part sequels and spin-offs. The team includes Steve DeKnight, Zak Penn, Jeff Pinkner, Ken Nolan, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Christina Hodson, Robert Kirkman, Lindsey Beer, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.
