After director Joss Whedon revealed that fan favorite villain Loki won’t be in Avengers: Age of Ultron, now Tom Hiddleston talks about his absence in the sequel.

Speaking with Empire Online, Hiddleston said, “I think it’s great for the film that I’m not going to be in it. Because I’m so proud of the first one. Joss and I, there were so many things that we both love about it and in a way if I was in it we’d be chasing those moments, we’d be chasing that again.

The Avengers need a new bad guy to fight, they need new things to do…but for the film I’ll be waving them off and saying ‘Good luck, have fun’ and I’ll be in the front row when it comes out.”

However, Tom Hiddleston will returns as Loki in Thor: The Dark World, which is scheduled to be released on November 8, 2013.

Previously, Black Widow is a huge part of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The confirmed cast for now includes Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch And Quicksilver.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015.
