Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and Marvel Studios’ upcoming American superhero film, Ant-Man has found a new director and writer, two weeks after director and co-writer Edgar Wright dropped out.
Peyton Reed, American television and film director known for his work on Bring It On (2000), Down with Love (2003), The Break-Up (2006), and Yes Man (2008) will direct the movie.
Adam McKay, American screenwriter, director, comedian, and actor famous for Anchorman (2004), Talladega Nights (2006), and The Other Guys (2010) will contribute to the film’s script.
Synopsis:
“Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats.
Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.”
Ant-Man is scheduled to be released on July 17, 2015.
