Square Enix president Yoshinori Kitase provided few additional details about Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Saga.

In this week’s Famitsu, Yoshinori Kitase says that at the upcoming anniversary event, we’ll make an announcement regarding Lightning Saga (this is what Square Enix said when it provided details on the event a couple of weeks back).

He added, “that the development work on the new project has just recently started.’’ This means the game could be out next year since they are using reused assets just like they did with Final Fantasy XIII-2.
